Project Linus Providing
Security Through Blankets
Here's a list of ways can you help...
1. Crochet, knit, quilt, or stitch (tied fleece blankets are
good too!) one or more handmade blankets and deliver them to your
local chapter of Project Linus. Blankets must be washable and
in child friendly colors. The coordinator will arrange for them
to be taken to a facility where it will be given to a deserving
child, permanently. Contact Janet

2. Here are a list of some approximate sizes needed (please
use soft materials)

Preemie Blanket Size - 24" x 30"
Newborn Baby Blanket Size - 36" x 36"
Toddler/Child Blanket Size - 36" x 45"
Child/Teen Size Blanket - 40" x 60"
3. We appreciate donations of yarn, quilting fabric, quilt
batting, fleece, Gift Certificates for Craft Stores, Yardage Stores,
Wal Mart, Michaels, Jo Ann's Fabrics, Hancock Fabrics, etc.
4. Organize a yarn drive. This could be a project for a school,
business, civic group, church or scout troup. Some businesses
have a contest between departments...who can collect the most
yarn! Please try to collect new skeins of yarn. Red Heart, Caron,
Mainstays, Color Match yarn makes up into nice soft blankets.
5. Get your community involved - churches, schools, senior
centers, sewing guilds and craft shops are all excellent places
to find potential blanket donors. Everyone knows a crafter. Tell
them about Project Linus!
6. Cash Donations should be made out and mailed to headquarters
with mention of the Moreno Valley, CA Chapter (so that we will
get credit for a percentage of the donation) at Project Linus,

7. Find the Project Linus coordinator in your area by
clicking here. They will be very happy to see that your blankets
are delivered to a child, or point you in the right direction
for delivery in your area.
